I had a squealing noise when driving that went away when the brakes were applied. I have done a bunch of brake jobs but mainly Fords and Jeeps. I pulled the wheels and the calipers off (so far almost twins to the Ford Explorer and Grand Cherokee. I couldn't figure how the rotors were retained. By the way I have a 2000 Discovery II. In the last post I noticed it says that there's a #4 screw. If I remove this screw will this let the rotor come off? (Only one screw?) As for the manual, you can down load rave CD's for free on line or buy them on E-Bay for about $10. Don't forget to use some sound deadening material on the backs of the brake pads and flush all the old brake fluid out. _____________________________ Mike Retired service manager.
