Anyone have any info on a headlight conversion from 2000 to the 2003 style? I have seen mods done to replace the 2000 headlamp assemble and replace it with the new 2003/4 assembly. Anyone know if this is a DIY or is it a customized conversion?

i am pretty sure there has been talk about conversions on this forum, i might of made a thread a few months or maybe even a year back. When i talked to my land rover mechanic, he told me it is possible, but would cost 1,000+ in labor and parts. That alone drove me off of the subject because like you, i am attracted to those lights.

I found the procedure online. Can't remember where, but I have it on my computer. It requires some trimming, but can be done. It is pricy just getting the parts, though. I can be done. Let me know if you are interested, I can e-mail you the stuff..

EDIT ---- PM me with your E-mail if you want me to send you the file. I can't remember who I have sent it to and who still needs it.....Thanks

very interested, my email is RawImpact@gmail.com i can probably take my time with ebay and eventually get the parts hopefully. Or make constant early mourning stops at the junk yard.

Hi there,

I realize you probably have been bombarded, but would you mind sending me the info on the '03 headlight conversion?  I just got a 2000 Disco II and would love to do it.

Thanks,
Phil

Was just wondering how the conversion worked out? Is it worth the hassle and money???
