Hi I have a 95 4.6 HSE auto. I was driving and the dash displyed transfer neatual. i stopped done it then put it into D it said it again i drove it home about 6 miles staying under 30 mph. Turned the car off and left it for 5 hours or so. got in started it up selected D nothing no R no 1/2/3 nothing. Put it into P and it sounded like a manual going into gear without the clutch. Turned the car off put into P turned back on disply says transfer N. select N try to go back to P same noise. I think this could be electric problem!! Well thats what i hope. The thing is I have no idea where to start. I would be gratefull for any advise. As long as it does not include the use of a very large hammer while screaming like a banchee LOL.

thanks for replying i have sent you an email.
i looked under the seat and checked all the connections and they seem to be fine.
i put a fuse into the slot that is for towing the car as it seems to think that is what i want to do, left it running for a while then took it out, it now tells me to select neatual which appears to be different from the first problem so i think it must be electrical or computer problem.
i have also found that pushing the memory seat button once does not set the seat what i have to do now is hold it in until it stops moving. could this be linked?
if so could it be a BCEM fault?
many thanks in advance for any help
