As far as I know there is no way to lower the seat, no room underneith to work with. I know they can be moved back but not down.

I am in the same boat and this weekend I will be finishing the 4.2 swap into my 90 3.9 Classic and pulling the drivers seat to do some surgery. The plan is to shave some mateial from the bottom of the seat foam and then refit the cover. I will be manipulating the fasteners to work with the additional material that is left from the 'shorter' base. I wil post pics when its done.

I just finished lowering my seats, it was very easy there are one inch spacers under the seat rails all i did was remove them and cut them in half. I dont have power seats so i dont know if this will work with those. Now the drive is much more comfortable.

Wish that was the case in the Disco. I'm probably going to get my seats custom-repacked at some point though. I don't know who they designed them for but I'm strongly suspecting they're not 175lbs 6'1" and mesomorphic.
