what engine can be swap to a 1995 range rover

A company, here in the UK, called Overfinch have been putting small block chevy lumps into RRs and other Land Rovers since the 70's - they've got a US arm too - which came first I've no idea.

Google Overfinch bespoke vehicles and you'll turn up loads of info on what's possible.

Apparently the 6.5 turbo diesel from a Hummer fits into a Defender engine bay, although performance gains are slight if any over the Land Rover diesels - there's a few of them been done over here. If it'll fit into a defender I can easily imagine it fitting either a RR or a Disco.
