I dunno Guy's,I think I may be off the scale on this one.My 01' Discovery gets washed whenever it looks less then 100%.I'm totally anal about my truck. It still has the"new car smell" and is totally spotless at all times.I live in Canada and we use plenty of salt on the roads in the winter, therefore my truck gets stored in my garage all winter,it has never even seen snow.I purchased a new house last Febuary and actually hired a flatbed to transport my Discovery across town so it wouldn't get drivin in the salty snow(my wife thought I was crazy).I use two sets of floor mats at all times, carpeted factory mats and rubber mats on top(front and back) and nothing has even touched the original carpet.Nobody besides myself  has ever drivin my truck since I've owned it,with the exception of the Tech's at the Dealership. My Wife has never even sat behind the wheel. It has never been offroaded, and when it does get drivin on a dirt road I'll spend and hour plucking out all the small stones that are stuck between the tire treads.I must have every detailing product known to man,and I swear that if a fly landed on the hood,it would slide right off.My truck spends weekdays in my garage, and  basicly only gets used evenings and weekends. I puchased a  cheap third car to commute to work with in order to keep the kilometers down on the Discovery. My truck just rolled up 38,000 kilometers(about 20,000 miles). How's that for clean?

My wife says I am anal about how clean I keep the Disco.  She catches all heck if she leaves trash in it.  I wash it weekly or even more often if it gets dirty.  waxed twice a year with a whole day devoted to detailing it out in the spring.    Cheers  Mike

Well when i first got my i bought it becouse of what i seen it would do on ther trails so why do you all need a land rover if your going to keep in a garage when you really need it in the snow where it shows what it really does my opinion My Disco is Red and the Texas Mud looks great on it

I purchased my Discovery as a pleasure vehicle, just like some guys purchase a sports car or a classic car to drive at their leasure.I know full well that life would be much easier in the winter if I used my Discovery, but thats not this vehicles purpose for me.I paid a lot of money for this truck and take pride in keeping it in tip top condition. I plan on keeping it for many years to come and winter driving it will greatly shorten its lifespan.I've got other vehicles to drive in the winter.
