My 1996 disco stops for a short time and then starts again.
It's a Tdi with 300,000 klm I have changed the oil and filter every 5000 klm.
runs well ,plenty of power, smokes only on start up.
When it stops , the only light on the dash, is the oil light.
Can someone give me ideas ,on how to fix my problem. I have disconnected the after market turbo timer.

OK, so I got a "link lead" today as advised by a mechanic, but I can't figure out where it actually goes. Bought a manual and all...still can't find it. Any ideas??

Just an update, the link lead bypasses the immobiliser. It's a bugger to get at, it's under and behind the radio and heater controls. Thus far, the disco has run for 5 days without stopping, but this happened before when I changed the fuel filter. See what happens.
