My truck has the voice command button on the left side of my steering wheel. But I can seem to get my phone to connect. Is there something more that I need to have installed? Am I doing something worng? Anyone know what needs to be done? Thanks.

There are a few simple steps that need to be followed in order to program the blue tooth system in the truck to recognize your phone. They are written step by step in the owner's manual. You know, that thick book my wife ABSOLUTELY refuses to read ever, period. At any rate, I don't recall the steps by heart since it's been a while since I programed mine but if after reading it you still have problems, post again and I'll try to help maybe even over the phone if I can!

What phone are you trying to connect? My wife's Samsung T609 has bluetooth, but refuses to connect to the most of the devices (home PC, Rover, other phones, etc.), however it works with Sonyericsson handsfree kit in her bimmer. Go figure.

Watch this video http://www.landroverusa.com/us/en/_popups/06LR3_Owners_PTI_Bluetooth_Pairing.htm?route=_us_en_Owners_About_Bluetooth@
it might help.
There are other instructional videos on this site.

I am a new owner and have tried repeatedly to get both my phone (Blackberry Pearl) and my wife's phone (Motorola Razr) to connect to the car's system with no luck.  I used the instructions on the video that roverchan suggested and nothing.  Any tips or tricks i should know.  Will the dealer help me with this if i can't figure it out?

Thanks,
Jason

The '05's did not come with Bluetooth standard, so unless you bought the horribly overpriced option, it just isn't there.

Oh really?  So how can I determine if I have it or not?  I don't have the phone switch on the right side of the steering wheel, but I do have a button to the right of the stereo with a phone icon on it and I do have the voice command feature with the button on the left of the stering wheel.

The only way I know is to check the vehicle sticker or other original purchase papers.  All of the vehicles have the buttons whether equipped with Bluetooth or not....It was a $900 option in 2005 so I don't imagine most people would pay that much for that option.

Unfortunately I was not given any of the original paperwork with the sale.  Do you or anyone here know of a way to get copies of the window sticker or the options that a Land Rover is outfitted with by using the VIN?

Anyway, when I press the phone button it says 'No Phone Connected' or something.

Mine too, and I have the HSE model.  I am guessing that if that is the case, you don't have it....
