Send me a detailed list of options and features on your truck, let me see what you are trying to do. As for the truck, it should be a good seller.

I didn't realize you were across the Pond. If you were hear in the states, it would already be sold, not sure what you will have to do to sell it in your area.

Might be a little over priced for a quick sale - I've seen dealer adverts in LR magazines at around that price - if it's an A1 example, a real minter, then it's worth holding on for the best price.  If it's not or if time is an issue and you need a quicker sale, drop the price some.

You can get a 2000 Model year TD5 for £7k with less miles on it than yours, trade sale, on Autotrader - 112k miles is only 8k miles from needing the cam belt doing after all - so you're not going to get top rice for it unless that's already been done - mention it in the advert if it has been done already.

Hope that helps,

If the car is straight, unmodified, with a good service history, no chassis/bulkhead rust and with no driveline problems, I can see you easily getting between £6k and £7k for it.

Assume anyone who looks at it will find any of the faults listed above and, either, price it accordingly and don't haggle - or be prepared to drop the price by roughly the amount it would cost to have each fault fixed at a LR independent garage.  Always remember, in the UK it's ILLEGAL not to disclose a fault that you are aware of IF YOU ARE ASKED.  If they don't ask, then you don't have to disclose any information - if they ask a general question - eg "is there anything wrong with it?" You must disclose everything you know to be wrong.  Trading standards can and do prosecute people for this sort of thing - yes even private sales.  Additionally, if you're a motor trader it's illegal to sell an unroadworthy vehicle, even if you are not aware that it's unroadworthy - essentially the way that works is, if you're a trader and 'in the know' then you should have checked and made it roadworthy before selling it.

Hope that helps some more,

Well I have tried for a few months on L R O and Autotrader and best offer so far is £3500.  Looking at the second hand market for Landrovers I feel that Mr Brown has done us all a diservice by taxing us so harshly.

Sadly I no longer need her due to change of career so am forced to dump her for what ever monies i can get.
