Hi everyone,
I am looking at getting the tow package installed on my 2007 Range Rover Sport HSE and was wondering if anyone has done this here. I called the dealership as i need the whole works. The hitch, the wiring harness and the ball. They quoted me $1400. Does anyone know if i can get this stuff aftermarket or cheaper even from the dealership?

Thanks
Aydin

I also recently purchased a RR Sport and just ordered the hitch and wiring online.  If the wiring connection is anything like the old Disco setup, its just a few screws to remove and plugging in the wiring harness and that's about it...

Both trucks will be easy to install the hitch and wires, it is pretty much all bolt on.

How did this go for you?

We purchased a RR Sport about 3 months ago in San Diego. I'm now in Utah and will attempt to tow our horse trailer for the first time. I don't remember ordering or having the wiring harness installed. Well, yesterday I looked and to my surprise I had found the round and flat plugs already installed in the bumber so I must have ordered and had the dealer install the harness when I took delivery. My question is, I need to install a brake controller, right? Is there anything magical about this or can I simply go to a local RV shop? I assume a wired up factory harness handles running and signal ligths but that getting a brake controller is left up to the owner. Its only a two horse trailer but I definitly would not tow it without brakes.
