Hi. Can anyone help me? I have two problems with my 1999 1.8 Freelander. 1. Sometimes when I put in the clutch to change gear the revs shoot up very high, this can happen once in a day and then not happen for a week and then occur nearly all day, almost everytime I go to change gear. Follows no pattern.. ??? 2.Somtimes it starts to splutter and chug, and even stops. This usually haappens on damp mornings and gets worse when the engine warms up. They checked it out at the garage when it was there for the 80,000km service but couldn't find anything.
