HTC owner/bboretsky thnx- Whats your VIN? If its >xxx06500, they work with all phones, its the ones prior to this that got stuck with this problem. I'd like ot try though. Can you explain what you mean by 'let my phone get configured'. After I enter the PIN, the LR2 system gives me an error message 'check the bluetooth or something'- and the cellphone (Tmobile dash) just goes into a hourglass hang. Are you saying I just wait and not do anything with the cellphone-and it gets configured by itself?

ORIGINAL: VermontRoverGal Just out of curiousity, has anyone tried to mate a new Iphone with the LR2? Or maybe even some other LR model? They aren't available to us yet, since ATT doesn't provide service up here (that's what we get for living in the boonies, lol), but I love them and that would be my choice when some other phone company gets the rights to offer them! Just got my LR2 today and tried for a while to get the iPhone to pair. iPhone saw the Land Rover instantly. The Land Rover did not see the iPhone. Then I found that the pair code which *should* be presented on screen for your, doesn't. But, the code is 2121. Once the LR2 is searching, and the iPhone shows Land Rover, select it to pair, and the phone will ask for the code. Enter 2121 and the phone will sync up, bringing in recent calls, missed calls, and your address book. Nice!

if your vehicle is searching for the phone it has the wrong software installed into the module, there is new software to update the cellphone module so the phone is the one that searches for the vehicle not the other way around, this is how all landrover modles are suppost to work. and yes the pairing codes is 2121

I just recently bought a Freelander 2 HSe, and have an HTC touch cruise. I was really disappointed to find I couldn't get the incoming calls to work through the speakers, the addres book synchronises ok. Socalrover84 you mentioned wrong software module, guess this is one the FL itself, I asked the dealer but they said there was no update available. My car does try to detect the phone, so where can I get the correct software module.

Sorry it took so long to respond. What I meatn was after I input the code, the LR2 would come up with an error saying it cannot connect to the phone. On my phone, I would have a prompt for service and a checkbox for HandsFree. I would select that and then the BT would finish setting up o the phone. Immediatly, it would connect to the car and sync the phonebook. Still working today.
