Hello,
I was driving to work today and got a check engine light.  Later my disco cut off on me on a offramp (restarted fine).  When I got to work I plugged in a reader and got p1179 along with some misfire codes.  The misfire is a problem I've been having...need to change plugs and wires I know but this p1179 AMFR Correction At Maximum Negative Value is new, any ideas?

Also when on the highway at speeds 60+ mph sometimes (and only sometimes) I feel like i am loosing power and can feel somthing engageing and disengageing.  Its like I feel power then I just coast...then I get a burst of power, even though the engine RPMs stay high and respond to changes in the accellerator...think this could be related?  Speed Sensor?

So what was the solution.  The simptoms sound very similar to how my truck reacts

My 2000 Disco did the same thing. It just died and after a few minutes and then it started back up and ran. You did not know if it was for a few miles or a few days. I had the misfire codes, O2 and a few others. I replaced the crank senson and that problem went away. But I seal have other codes, I''m working on them now.
