I own a 2006 LR3, US model. It is the 'bare bones'model , as I call it. Here is the trick, the radio (land Rover brand) has an AUX output but the unit came with no wiring for it (the is no 3.5mm plug behind the console). How can I connect a female jack to the radio? I have taken appart the radio but I need to know exactly wich are the pins to connect the plug.

I am not sure, but my aux input is in the back side of the console between the front seats.  I have the HSE, so it has everything.  I thought they all had the aux input between the two front seats, facing the rear seats.

I am a new LR3 owner (5 days) and not to hi-jack this thread, but I plugged my wifes ipod shuffle into the aux jack and I don't hear anything coming from it.  I turned the stereo to the aux mode.  Is there something else i must do in order to hear a device through the aux jack?

Thanks,
Jason

I was under the impression that all LR3's had working AUX inputs aswell.  I guess not.

For "Fanatic516", make sure you turn the volume all the way up on the ipod, or the sound won't  as good.  This may be accounting for the lack of sound aswell.

I looked in my LR3 today, and had trouble finding one for a while.  Look under the air vents on the back of the center consol.  Thats where mine was.

Yes, the plug SHOULD be ther, but in the trim line that I have (basic) there is none. In fact, I took the cover off and there were some unused plugs, but I am uneble to identify wich is the one that I should use to connect the radio. I took the radio out ad again there are some pins on the connection plug that are unused but I don't have a diagram to work with. The LR dealer was unable to provide a usefull wiring diagram.  Did you know that if you unplug the radio, the engine will not start? That is just way too much...
