I joined the forum today. I have a 2001 Discovery II that I have owned since new. The car has been very solid for me and I am happy with it. I did get into a major collision during the first week of 2005, where driving conditions were bad (had been raining for several days) and I was driving along a steeply-sided canyon road. A boulder (about 3 feet across) tumbled down the hillside and rolled into the road at the exact same instant I got to the same spot. It caused over $11,000 worth of damage to the front end. Insurance covered it, and outside of that I've had no major problems.

I joined this forum because I have concerns about how I am being treated by a local LR repair shop that I haven't used before. Questions here!

I've read some of the posts and you seem to be a helpful bunch. I am happy to be here and hope I can contribute.

Hi guys! From Santa Monica Calif and am doing some freelance work over a Land Rover News & Blogs and right now am planning to do some future write ups on safety issues on Land rover parts. Don't worry, it's nothing negative about Land Rovers in general, in fact, I want to highlight Rover's commitment to car safety.
