Hi,

I'm about to become the owner of a 2003 Discovery and stumbled across this forum.  Actually I stumbled across a lot of Land Rover forums, but I figured I'd post here because there seems to be a good sense of community here.

Would love any input folks could give me related to the following questions:
  1. Are there any FAQs for new owners of Land Rovers and/or Discoveries on this site (or other sites)?  I've been working on German cars for years (a VW, a BMW, and an Audi), but this is my first foray into the world of British vehicles (well, except for a 2006 MINI, but that's really more German than British).  Some folks I know love their Land Rovers, while others shake their heads at me as if I've lost my mind.
  2. Any advice on which forums/Land Rover sites are worth reading?  (Naturally I assume folks here are partial to this site, but are there others you also visit and recommend)?
Thanks very much!

This site is more of a help site as you may have seen.
With some 4X4 ers in the mix.

There are sites that are Over Land people use. Land Rovers for travel in
the out of way places.

I'm more of a Over Land person, and for that there is LRM (Land Rover Monthly) web site.

There are Club sites check your area, its good to find people in your area to help at times.
