If you want some help, crawl under the truck and see what you have for a rear suspension. How are we supposed to help you ?

SLS was not a standard feature but an option along with ACE. So now your only option is to heat the coils, they are not designed to be cut. Can't begin to tell you how it will effect your ride, if it were mine I would leave it outside, Discos are a little top heavy anyway and any weakening of the springs will just add to it wanting to say back and forth while going thru curves.

If it must be lowered, heating the coils is really the only "good" way to do it. It's been done on many other vehicles with no problems. I've never heard of it being done to a rover, but good luck. Just find yourself a sport truck, or low rider shop in your area and tell them you want the coils heated so you drop about 1.5" and they'll have no problem doing so. I wouldn't go down as much in the front, if you don't have to, to avoid possible steering and tire rub problems.
