98 discovery fuel system problem - 12/17/2004 12:03:40 AM    lilah   Posts: 1 Joined: 12/16/2004 Status: offline My 98 discovery would not start a few days ago. My mechanic decided it had to be the fuel pump. The mechanic deemed it fixed. When I went to pick it up after replacement it wouldn't start. It has the same symptoms as before the pump was replaced. The starter turns over but it never picks up. Clearly it is not getting fuel. I am getting frustrated. Could this be a relay switch or sensor? Any ideas would be appreciated!! Post #: 1

If you hear the pump running the pump, relay and everything is fine. Check for spark. If no spark its poss. but i have to check it migh be a crank sensor. can someone verify if the 4.0l has a crank sensor, i think it does. _____________________________ <--------Loosing Brakes on Lions Back, Moab!
