Though if your still concerned, Tire Rack has them (new addition) in 265/65-18 with a load rating of 112 for $30 more than the 265/60''''''''s. They are 1" larger diameter (31.6 vs. 30.5).

Has anyone heard any reports on this size?  I am wondering about possible rub.

I am thinking that this size will be ok since they are the same diameter as the Cooper Zeon LTZ 285/60/R18, and about an inch narrower.

I have also been recommended the Toyo Open Country A/T 285/60/R18 that are about the same size as the Cooper tires.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks

The size will work fine. Actually will work real well. The 285/60/18 also fills the tire well very well. Depends on what you want out of your tires, I may be able to advise a little further.

Can''t seem to post a detailed response.

I give up for now, but probably somewhere between medium and extreme.  Thinking of joining SCLR.

Toyo is looking ok to me.

I picked up the Wranglers today, 265/65/18.  The fit very well.  First impressions driving around town are very good.

I decided on these over the others after viewing them side by side and considering the difficulty of off roading I plan to do in the near future.

Awesome. You are one of the first people I know of using that particular size. Let us know how they perform for you in the future. I may be looking at the same size for my next set!

So far the ride on the road is as you have indicated on yours.  Very good and better then the stock tires.  I am going on an off road trip on the 9th of August so I can give a report on that.

The clearance is perfect since they are the same diameter as the Toyo and Coopers, but an inch narrower which is a bit better for my winter ski season driving.

They do get very close to the wiring harness in the left wheel well when fully compressed and in a tight left turn.  That can be remedied easily enough with a few zip ties to raise the harness up a bit.

BF Goodrich is a good tire but it just doesn''t compete well with the Silent Armour and is not aggressive enough to compete with the likes of Zeon LTZ, Toyo Open Country or Nitto Terra Grapplers.
