I want to upgrade the size of my tires since moving to vermont.  Does anyone know the max width and heigth i can fit w/o any modifications to a land rover disc II 01'.??

245/75/16 is considered a save size, plus may manufacturers make a number of tread designs for them.

I have 245/75/16 Bfg All terrains. There is about 1 " clearance between the tire and the front bumper. I would'nt go any bigger without lift. I am happy with these tires. They do ride stiffer then the old tires, stock size Bridgestone dueller HT's.

What's the largest you can go with a 2" lift?

Depends on how much gas mileage you want to loose. Going to 265's will cost you 2 MPG in town, 285's even more.
