auto shift knob

1997 Disco....how do I remove the automatic shift knob?? My $70 workshop manual doesn't want to tell me. Thanks, Al

as i recall, you pop off the center peice and there's a screw or bold under that.

Like Bene said, pop the cover off and there is a clip that you must remove. Then unscrew the large nut and pull hard to remove.
