I have an 07 LR3 with Goodyear rubber and the recommended tire pressure is 32 psi front and 42 psi rear. Why so high for the rear tires? At what pressure do you maintain your tires? I was thinking about running 35 psi all the way around.

Rovers have always run a little heavier in the rear due to weight distribution.
What you need to watch is prolonged irregular tire wear do to air pressure and gas mileage. You might be OK at 35 but I would tract tread wear and mileage just to make sure.

That was one of the first things I did when I bought mine. I inmediately started getting warnings from the tire pressure monitors. At any rate, I have since changed my tires with 265/60/18's. The new tires looked over inflated at the rear with 42 psi and the front ones were practicaly flat with 32psi. After some playing around with tire pressure and monitor allowances, and ride confort versus gas milage, I have found that 36 up front and 40 on rear works fine for me.

Dont forget the 07 should have tire pressure monitering , if so you will only be able to go a few pounds before another anoying light is on in the cluster. The pressures will need to be real close to the spec listed in the drivers door jam.
