Speaking of gas, I tried DiscoMike's method of driving in 3 as opposed to D when under 45 MPH; my mileage has markedly improved. I don't have MPG stats yet, but I was getting about 150 miles at the half-way point; now I'm at 175, and not quite to half a tank yet.

How does driving in "3" help???

Please do tell!!

Thanks! :]

$ 3.22 gal 93.
Driving in 3rd keeps the motor rpm in the best tq range, no luging
the motor.

discoken -> RE: GAS PRICE (11/10/2007 6:41:30 AM)

$3.29 for the good stuff here in Milwaukee, WI.

hobiecat -> RE: GAS PRICE (11/10/2007 1:25:52 PM)

In Southern New Jersey
2.99 for 93oct.
Jersey's gas prices are lower then other states due to the lower tax on the fuel.  The current governor stated he would not increase gas tax during his reign. (This is in Nov 2009

EL GALLO -> RE: GAS PRICE (11/16/2007 7:02:57 AM)

Every tank of fuel I buy I give the government in the region of £30 in tax and about £4 of that is tax on the tax I'm already paying. Makes me mad!  Wouldn't happen in the USA... y'all have guns [;)]

Why yes we do have guns I have a old one that is British, a
Lee Enfield 303 great old gun with a rear sight that goes out to
1200 meters.
