After having recently changed the clutch and also the fly wheel, the radiator cooling fans are sticking on adn the car sounds like an aeroplane. Having contacted my local dealer they advised to plug and unplug then restart, i have checked and removed the silver box, had the fuses out and leads. Still nothing. I cannot get booked into my dealer for 2 weeks.

Can any one help and advise urgently??

Two posibilities, obviously your in canada becuase Ive never seen a stick in the states but there may be. 1) the fan control box in between the fans is burned out (the silver thing). 2) there is a red relay beneath the radio and control panel that activates the fans when the a/c on button is pushed to cool the condenser its probably full of water from condensate drain being plugged. There is a recall for the condensate tube.

rinmud, are you a LR Tech? I'm referring to the answer to the TC/HDC post. If so, good to have an inside perspective here! FYI, in Canada we get US spec vehicles - no manual transmission products have been sold here since the '95 Discovery.

Sarah; What was the outcome? Forget the dealer, search around for a good independent mechanic,
