Hello. I just picked up a 2006 LR3 HSE and since I am completely new to the world of Land Rovers, I just wanted to see if someone can help with one thing that bothers me most about the truck. Is there a way to disable the side mirrors from tilting when you are reversing? I find this extremely disturbing. I owned a X5 before and all you had to do is switch the controller to the right mirror, which disabled it. I cannot seem to get it to work on the LR3. Thanks in advance.

The mirror dipping can be disabled. It's been a while since I've done it, so I can't tell you exactly which menus to use, but I do remember it is accessed through the information center via its button on the end of the signal light stalk. Hope that helps.

Thanks ToddHSE. That helped. It was one of the options and I changed it.

Hmmm, can I be the one to ask the obvious question and beg that I don't insult anyone in the process? Mirrors that auto tilt in reverse when programed properly are the best thing since sliced bread. I'm having one of those simple curiosity moments that beg me to ask what about it don't you like?

My Rovers are too old for the fancy features...but on my BMW the mirrors can be disabled by simply putting the mirror select lever/switch (the thing you adjust your mirrors with) in the right side position... My vote is mirror dipping rocks too:) Have fun with that fancy new ride!
