Hey Guys need a little help here. I have a 1986 Defender 110 with a 2.5 diesel. When ever I start it it will run for about 10 seconds and then quit. I then have to crank on the starter for about 15sec before it will crank only to die again. After 3 attempts it runs great. I'm wondering if the fuel pump may be the problem or if it is something else. I changed the fuel filter and it still does the same thing. Also, does the fuel line stay pressurized after shut down? Any suggestions would be welcomed. This only has started with in the last few months. Thanks, David

It should have a spot that will retain fuel pressure. If it were draining down though, I would think it would have a problem starting the first time. Wish I had more experience with them.
