So twice now I have gotten the Gear 4 Ratio Incorrect error code in the last 3 days.  From searching around, it points to the MAS.  I installed a K&N air filter about 3 months ago.  Coincidence?  This sucks....guess the lift kit will have to wait a while longer.

Same thing happened to me with the 4th gear code and one new MAF meter later it was fixed. Also K&N filter gone after my 2nd MAF died, just so you know most ppl don't believe the K&N will do it but I am on my 3rd MAF now and just have a dry filter on it now so no oil will kill the MAF.

It has been post on this any a number of other Rover sites that K&N filter and the new Bosch MAF's don't mix.

Jaime, if you replace your filter today, DON'T try and clean your MAF, you may luck out, or it may already be too late.

Good price of about $130 on line, call Tony at Cerrones/LRRFourms.com and order one.

I haven't done anything yet except clear the code.  I will replace the filter and see what happens.  Thanks!

If the code comes back, there is too much damage to the MAF and it will need to be replaced.
