Hello all! I'm hoping someone can help me find an answer to my maintenance question. I've visited and searched this forum a few times and finally registered to see if I can search for answers - so far I was not able to find my answer. I am looking at purchasing a used LR3 and would like to know how much maintenance costs are if I were to pay for them myself if I take my car to the dealership. Thanks!

I have not had my LR3 but 2 months. (So far LOVE it, no probs) But when I was researching I came across this. It says it was published 10/15/06 and it DOES include labor estimated at $50/ hour. I dont have any direce experience to tell you if this is right or wrong, but maybe it will help and maybe someone w/ more knowledge can tell us how accurate it is. Item Name Repair Cost A/C Compressor $920 Alternator $580 Automatic Transmission or Transaxle $3,330 Brakes $540 Clutch, Pressure Plate, Bearing Constant Velocity Joints $1,450 Exhaust System $930 Radiator $540 Shocks and/or Struts $2,930 Timing Chain or Belt $1,230

Are you wanting and able to do the maintance services your self, if so I can throw you some numbers. If you are looking to buy one you would be wise to check with a couple of smaqll Rover shops instead of the dealers. If cost is the determining factor, dealers cost would keep you out of the market but a small shop or doing it your self is pretty reasonable.

Thanks for the quick replies! I may have to go through the small shops for maintenance. I don't really like to spend a lot of money on cars and with the cost of these cars at 36k or so for a one with less than 20k miles they seem like a pretty good deal. Based on the revolution's response it's not that bad considering I've paid that much with my other car's repairs and maintenance. How often are the intervals for the LR3's maintenance? and how much does a regular 30k, 60k, and 90k tune go for either in small shops or at the dealership? Will the 2005 V8 SE be a good buy? Anyone who has this car and have paroblems? I'll aim for the 2006 if I find one. Thanks!
