Unfortunately my wife and I had to part with our 2002 BMW 530 in order to make room for our ever expanding family (Son 6yrs old and daugher 9 mos.) By the time we got the baby seat in the back, there was no room in the front, so long story short, We are now the proud owners of the baddest 4x4 ever made. She's silver with black interior, rear seat ent., cold climate (not that I will need that down in South Louisiana) and rear diff lock. Now if I could only find something to climb over. Also, being new to Land Rover, what types of performance upgrades are available. (Engine, exhaust, etc.) And where should I start to look for such things.

wecome. first off i would like to personally thank you for planning to use your LR for what its built for. Im not sure about parts for newer RRs (or any newer rovers for that matter) but theres a list of US parts suppliers in the General Tech section. if that doesnt help you much you might try overseas websites.

welcome to the forum. the upgrades are good. there are superchargers, turbo. computer chips. the big thing with any vehicle is air in and air out. the exhaust size is a big deal. No less than 3 inches, rover likes borla. there is a parts supplier list on the forum, and it makes the dealer prices look sick. With the type of vehicle you have it will take some thinking about suspension. that has to be match to the type of use. One thing I do think is a good thing is the neoprene bushings. The biggest upgrade that can be done any land rover is maintianence to the extreme. Keep it right and it will alway be there when you are in need. There are some folks on the forum that are into the big time proformance mods and you can do a search for them in the forum. You may want to log specific to the rangie. Gotta love a rover. they are built for 4x4, not just an suv. duboff.
