tlester72 -> Disco II tires (12/28/2007 10:29:19 AM)

I was wondering what is the largest tire i could put on my 2000 Disco II without a lift. I would also appreciate info on where i could find a 2" lift and info on how hard they are to install.

What size wheels are you running, what are you using the truck for and if alot of off road what type of trails?

I have 16" wheels and i dont do a whole lot of off roading, some but nothing extreme.....YET !! I really want something that looks good and if i do decide to go off roading that will hold up well. But unfortunatley most of my driving is on the road. I am thinking about putting as 2" lift on it in the near future.

put the lift on first so if you go to a larger tire it will fit.
If you are not going to a lift, look at a 245/75/16 as about the tallest tire you can go to without rubbing.

Thanks i appreciate all of the info. If i am going to install a 2" inch lift , what size would you recommend going with then?

265/75/16's..That's what he recommended to me..as did others....after the lift no rubbing...even off road with the rear wheels stuffed in well.....I went with BFG MTs....

I run 265's, but it will require a lift and you will loose just short of 2 MPG.
My 2 cents worth.

NO BIGGER than 29.10"  without a lift thats how big my interco trxus a/t's are and they barely make it and rub a little when i turn.
