Wouldn't say the M/T do mud well either, for that you need something like an Interco TSL/SS but that's another story. If you're staying on the road don't bother with an A/T it will be louder. Go with a lower profile, you didn't say if you had 16" or 18" rims. If I was staying on-road all the time I'd go 18" for sure it makes a noticable different in how things handle. (but then I'd also do a non-lift heavier spring and shock upgrade too) and in a smoother highway friendly tire. Just stick to a major brand in the right load range and you should be good. Things to consider are, will it see mud? if yes go A/T, will it see snow? if yet go A/T, will it be on highway all the time and in a warm climate? if yes look for something smoother and lower.
