Wow that is exaclty the same problem my 03 is having also beside the amigos that come and go, so the best advice would be to replace all 4 02 sensors plug and wires at the same time?

Can't help you on the 1174, but the 1171 is both banks A and B are running lean thru the 02 system.

You don't need an air intake hose unless yours is broken.

I just recently had the 60K service performed. Would either the plugs, wires or sensors have been replaced at that time?

The plugs would have been, usually not the wires unless you asked for them to be repolaced cause of the expense.
Why do you ask, do you have some warning lights on, if so which ones and what codes?

I got it back from having it serviced and the SE light was on. I asked why and they said to take it to an authorized dealer because It was throwing P1174 and P1171. They said it was due to a problem that Rover would warranty even though it was out of warranty (something related to the cat maybe?). I took it to Rover and they said it was the breather hoses. I paid them the $150 for their diagnostic time and bought the breather hoses online and will replace them myself. My concern is whether or not that will fix the problem. It's an 03 RR with 63K miles.

if you installed the two rear breather hoses correct you should be all set.

Same Problem? I have a 03 with 45K, had a 200 drive out of town today and the SE light came on, power was very sluggish when accelerating. Autozone ran the codes and said it was misfiring in cylinder 1 & 6. ( will go back and get the code # and repost them) does this sound like O2 sensors or maybe fuel injection issues? Problem seemed to stabilize after I got up to speed and stopped accelerating. Added fuel stabilizer and fuel injector cleaners and they didn't seem to help. Any clues? Your insight is truly appreciated before I face the dealer. Thanks, MB

Why do 02 sensors and injectors get picked on so much?????????????
No, your problem is a combination of plugs and wires. If you are still under warranty, I would get it into the dealer, cause the wires are very expensive to have installed and are covered, if in warranty.
If you are not in warranty, get back to me and I'll tell you what to do next.
