How many miles???
Have you checked your oil pressure, maybe consider doing a engine flush to free up so oil flow.

I GOT IT CHECKED AT A SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE TIMING CHAIN. EVERYTHING ELSE FINE. IT HAS 133,000. MILES

So, there are 2 things that will show up with a timing chain, timing will bounce around which can be caused by a tired chain or just the little hydralic button that keeps the timing chain tight.
If your timing bouncing around, if not, the hydralic tensioner could be causing the problem and quite often it is because of sludge build up.
Might want to flush out the engine real good and see if that will clear up your problem.

there are no tensioners on the chain,what kind of noise is the motor making?I have worked on thousands of 4.0/4.6 and have never seen a chain issue with these motors...more info please

it sounds like if it was a diesl. the noise is a ticking sound

Me either.

However, timing issues used to be quite common through the 80s and early 90s. The timing gear keyways were machined incorrectly for years. As well, the old chains used to stretch. Sure made a lot of money for Cloyes!

Does it fade at all after the engine warms up?
