im replacing the brakes on my 2000 land rover discovery, but i cant even get the wheels off hahaha. i havent had the wheels off before and when i took the lugs off it looks like theres an split washers inside where the stud goes. is there a special tool to get the wheels off the studs or are they just stuck to the center of the rotor and just need to be hammered off? they are really stuck on there!!! any advise on getting these babies off??? i just posted this in another section but just seeing if i can get some quick advise!! also i have on the stock wheels and tires for the disco. any help would be great!!! thanks

So, if I read this right, you were able to pull the lug nuts off? If so and the wheels are still stuck, put a piece of 2X4 wood on the side of the wheel and smack the crap out of it with a sledge hammer.

I love the old addage we have in the military. Theres nothing that can't be fixed with 100mph tape, bubble gum, a BFH or a block of C-4. I see the BFH is coming to the rescue here as well .
