i have a car hauler trailer weights about 3000lbs, double axles.  i will be adding 4 4wheelers to the trailer addign about 2600lbs.  total pounds 5600lbs.  do i need to get it wired for the trailer brakes?  i have never really pulled with my LR3.

Trailer braks are always a plus, but I wouldn't be overly worried about it. Just give yourself plenty of room to stop.

YES! Get the brake control!   It will be alot safer and save wear and tear on your vehicle. The controler is not that expensive and the vehicle is pre wired. It's a no brainer.

thanks to both of you, i went with the trailer brakes and it works awesome... i had no problem stopping, i was loaded with 4 polaris 700 4 wheelers each weighting about 700lbs each. thanks.
