congratulations. sounds like a good deal to me, i got mine in January (a 94 with 138k miles at the time) for $5000 with a blue book around $6500. no bells and whistles, unless you count the dual moon roofs.

as far as maintinence goes, its the same as any other car. stay on top of the oil and such. one thing people tend to overlook is lubing ujoints and drive shafts. otherwise they tend to spit out ujoints.

Thank you for the advice, do you think it would be best to go to the land rover shop or would any shop be just as good when getting any work done? I know land rover is not cheap.
Thank you,
chris

The dealer may not be the cheapest, but they may get it right the first.
You can find people that work only LR's talk to them. Sometime it's more
than a job. I think you got a fair deal if you have the service records
you have a good deal. I have been waiting for 6 months to get a
1996 disco SE7, a friend just replaced it with a LR3 for his wife.
I get to fly to Seattle 10/08 and drive it back to Dallas.
So are sure your not just rubbing it in?
If your happy with your Disco and you feel you got a good deal
you did.

Landzu, Im going to just bring it to LandRover when ever theirs a problem, I live in NYC and when ever you bring a car to some shop around here they seem to fix one problem and at the same time their loosing bolts to create a another one. And the color of it is black with tan leather, its really sharp.
