I've checked my coolant level again and it's constant even after the leak was discovered. My level is down just below the fill line on the where the top and bottom piece of the res. connect. Any reason as to why I wouldn't be losing more coolant and why my loss has leveled off? -Ug

I have a slight leak out of my head gaskets and it only show sometimes. It is not a constant leak.. Not sure why, but it is conditional.

Where are you leaking from, why hasn't it been fixed before you over heat your engine?

I can't find where it's leaking from. I just think it's very unusual to see fluid on the inside of my bumper when I had my grill off but my reservoir won't go down past about 3/4 full. I'm looking for feedback as to where to zero in my search for the leak. It's not normal to have a leak and then not loose more fluid when it reaches a certain level is it?? And my temp gauge never gets above normal. Strange.

Simple and most accurate way to find it is to go to a shop and have the coolant system pressure tested.

Shop just called about the pressure test. Said my water pump and serpentine belt need to be changed. I was losing coolant out of a "weep hole" in the water pump? Rad was fine. They gave me a quote of $750 parts and labor. Once I run by the shop and talk to them some more and get the bid in writing I'll get back on to see if what the girl over the phone told me is the whole story. AB has two water pumps; $160 for OE and $100 for generic brand. Thoughts? Ugly

If you are at all mechanical, you should do the work your self, saving under $500 in labor. Let us know if you want some help.

Just call in your order, they have them. Might want to consider replacing your t/stat at the same time and make sure to use Dexcool coolant. Do you know how to blkeed the air from the coolant system when done?

I second the thermostat. I'm pretty sure you can pick up a belt from Napa. edit: ~$40 at Napa. http://www.napaonline.com/MasterPages/NOLMaster.aspx?PageId=430&CatId=2&SubCatId=1
