Fuel filter was pretty tough, but I liquid wrenched it for 2 days. Mission accomplished! Spike - thanks, hopefully it works! Fingers crossed.

Go to , http://www.roverconnection.com/ for the best price of 02's for your truck and make sure you have your vin with you when you order cause there are 2 different styles used.

While waiting for my O2's I decided to clean under the hood... (Obvious the previous owner didn't even know how to open the damn thing...) well guess what I find? The passenger (US) freakin PCV hose is disconnected. It was sitting where it is supposed to go but I just looked it over... Needless to say, when that nipple isn't drawing in atmosphere the truck runs a WHOLE lot better. It idles like new and drives with only minor hesitation which I think will be fixed with the 4 new O2's. Before I had to beat the crap out of it just to get to 55mph... now it CRUISES there. Thanks for the help again Disco Mike. You sir, are the man. Justin Every day is getting better... I'm loving this truck more and more!

Oh and interestingly enough - I found two dead mice under the sagging hood-liner. They'd been there for years it appears. I was going to 3M it back up there but screw that. Guess I'll try to source a new one. :)

Hi all. Looking at the site (roverconnection) for the magnacor wires and O2 sensors. Found that the magnacor wire description table says "replacing intake manifold gasket may be required)" for the Magnacor 8mm wires. Question 1: What does this (the above) mean? Also, running into similar problems at take off with my '99 disco II. backfiring occassionally, sluggish for the first second or two (after pressing accelerator) then takes off normally. I figured this is so close to the same thread topic that I would stick with the ongoing thread... I am sure the truck needs much maintenance. It has just under 150k. Question 2: Will replacing the O2 sensors early on in the tune-up process cause damage to them or can I replace them immediately?
