Won't heat up! - 1/17/2005 5:55:42 PM    asmcmillin   Posts: 24 Joined: 1/17/2005 Status: offline Does anyone know where the drain valve is on the radiator for my 98 Discovery LSE? I cannot find it. I know if I take the bottom hose off, it will probably flood all over the floor. Should I just unbolt the thermostat housing on top and just make the mess from there? Thanks for responding. When replaceing the thermostat be sure to put it in with the stamped "top" to the top. Also be sure to get it in the recess otherwise it will leak, this is very tricky. Also be very sure to bleed the coolant system properly. You don't want to overheat this engine ! Bait (in reply to asmcmillin) Post #: 4

Real world, fill up, turn on defrost and drive until you burp the cooling system. Watch the temp guage ! Don't let it get to hot. Then let cool off and top off.
