I own a 2000 Discovery its got michelin 255/65/r16 on it.  I have another set of R16 rims and would like to get some aggressive tires for off-road ( like bfg mud terrain) but what size?  It has been suggested to me 255/70/r16 and also I have read on this forum 245/75/r16

Do you have a lift or are you going to be lifting it?

No, since I moved to Colorado, I have given up the membership to the club, great bunch of people thouigh, you'll like getting out with them.
If you are not going to play hard, a lift is probably not needed, a new set of OME H.D. shocks would probably improve your ride though.
I lean towards a 245/75/16 for a Disco with no lift.
