is it possible to just rip out the old 4litre petrol engine out and dump in the diesel? do you have to change the transmission? i do know you have to change the whole exhaust system. would it screw with any instrumentation?

You have to change the fuel system, all the computers the tranny, the drive shafts, I can go on and on, it's not worth it.
