Can the 03 Disco transfer case be converted to have a CDL? Check out this part that I found that says it can convert a non CDL Disco 2 transfer case to a CDL case? http://www.toddcosuspensions.com/diiilodi.html It looks like one could buy this part and then all that would be needed is a shifter kit. Has anyone tried one of these kits? - RMW59

That would do it, and as you say you would then need just a way of "activating it", either by using the factory linkage, or a solenoid operated system. Factory linkage is easiest to install, a little cheaper and has no electrics to go wrong, however it can be troublesome to find the linkage to buy.

It is cheaper and easier to buy a salvaged 04 case along with the updated cable linkage and then sell your old case.
