Dear Forum, I have a Disco TD5 -00 and had to change to a new cylinder head due to internal crack.
With the new head in place the engine started knock after a few miles. The fuel injectors were checked with a connected computer and three of them were found indicating outside margins. The bad injectors were replaced by three used ones. The car starts now butt engine is running very rough.
Now the shop asks to exchange all five ejectors to new ones, a pretty costly swap in view of what I already have spent to get the new top in place, and all five injectors worked fine until then.
My question to the Forum is, - can the injectors be tested on a bench outside the engine, if so where?
There are other factors, like programming of each injector and setting proper valve play, but I have to thrust the professionalism of the Landrover shop. Resid Stockholm, Sweden.
