We purchased a certified pre-owned 03 Discovery from a Land Rover dealership in June this year. Over the past week it started intermittently making this loud squeaking sound when I went over bumps and when the vehicles weight shifted when turning corners. They are currently replacing the shocks. However they told me that it was time to replace the brakes and rotors and it should be done every 25k miles. Is this accurate? What should I expect to pay for this living in Ca?

yes.. discos can go through some brakes.. one of the lrs downfalls imo but if they say they need to be done go with it, but if you dont trust the shop you should ask them how much pads are in millimeters if they are in the 4-5mm range you prolly shoudl replace them
