I need help with this one. A 1994 Disco I straight drive is starving for fuel when it is driven up an incline. Once level, or facing downhill it runs fine. When it is on an incline it will idle but will not accelerate. I can "pedal" the gas pedal and get it to creep up the hill but it will not accelerate. Anyone have any suggestions on the problem and cure? Thanks! Maurice PS - I just purchased this vehicle and the prior owner gave me the paperwork about a recall for gas tank replacement. Does the recall and this problem have anything in common?

I would suggest you replace the fuel filter first, if it still continues then have your fuel pressure tested, if low buy a new pump and go in for your recall, ask the dealer to install your new pump when replacing the fuel tank, they will probably charge you a little but it will be worth it.
