Here you go.

Just got it done this past week. The rims were done by California Chrome Wheels.
They tires are Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor (265/60-18) and made an immediate difference from the HP's (off course just about anything would), but thanks to Jantiz and others for posting their experience with the tire.

I love the look but how will they stand up off0road?  I notice you have AT's so I assume they will see the trails.  I would think that they might scratch through.  I am looking for some 18" rims to reolace my 19's and like the look of the black with the black sidewalls.

Being in SE Virginia the trails it will see will be more of the mud/woods variety, with a lot being pulling 15 pax vans out after getting them stuck and recovering lost ROTC Cadets from Land Navigation.
I figure scratching won't be any worse than what the side panels get and I consider those ugly beautiful.[sm=trust_me.gif]

I was able to do an exchange with California Chrome, sending in my 19"s for the 18"s.
My next move is getting the black plastic parts (fender flares and such) done to match. Might take a little while as the price from that one dealer is rather steep, I'm going to have to check the local powder coat folks and see what they can do. My main concern is durability with expansion and contraction due to temp.

i dont think you will want to powder coat the plastic that oven gets to hot you can paint them with a body filler spray wet sand then shoot with color
the powder coated rims will hold up great unless they did not prep correctly i have a powder coater in cadillac michigan i am lookig to see if he can match
my rims to my blue.

wht did they charge you to swap the 19s for 18s at california chrome

davidlt -> RE: Does anyone have black rims on a 06 lr3 (4/10/2008 3:08:32 PM)

$225 per wheel, if I'd had the the same size/model it would've only been $125/wheel.
I figured at $80-90 per wheel to get the coating done around here, it seemed a $135-145 cost per wheel didn't seem too bad to get it done.[sm=burnout.gif]
