The rims were done by California Chrome Wheels. They tires are Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor (265/60-18) and made an immediate difference from the HP's (off course just about anything would), but thanks to Jantiz and others for posting their experience with the tire. RE: Does anyone have black rims on a 06 lr3 - 4/6/2008 2:41:11 PM    davidlt Posts: 58 Joined: 1/21/2008 Status: offline Being in SE Virginia the trails it will see will be more of the mud/woods variety, with a lot being pulling 15 pax vans out after getting them stuck and recovering lost ROTC Cadets from Land Navigation. I figure scratching won't be any worse than what the side panels get and I consider those ugly beautiful. I was able to do an exchange with California Chrome, sending in my 19"s for the 18"s. My next move is getting the black plastic parts (fender flares and such) done to match. Might take a little while as the price from that one dealer is rather steep, I'm going to have to check the local powder coat folks and see what they can do. My main concern is durability with expansion and contraction due to temp. (in reply to LR3invancouver) Post #: 6

I figured at $80-90 per wheel to get the coating done around here, it seemed a $135-145 cost per wheel didn't seem too bad to get it done. (in reply to drzjoint) Post #: 10
