Timing Belt???

Is it true my 01 TD4 Diesel has a chain timing belt? I was told by a friend that it doesnt need a replacement at any stage? Tony

that does come with a chain which is oil driven so it does not need replacement or even service unless you have a problem with it like low oil or leaks
