If everything is running smooth and the check engine light is off then dont worry about it. There is no such thing as a stupid question, only stupid answers. Orignal Equipment Manufature. In other words, Land Rover parts, GM parts, Ford parts. If it is OEM parts it was made by that manufature.

if its runnin fine then dont sweat it too much, as far as checking, the easiest way would be with a smoke machine, but i doubt that you have one readily available, another way is somewhat unsafe, and can easily start a fire if youre not pretty careful, so i wont even describe it, but in the end, if thats what it was, the light should be back on within a few hundered miles.
