My '94 Disco I came (when I purchased it used a month ago) with the normal green colored antifreeze. This is normally suitable for Iron or Aluminum engines. So...why is DexCool recommended???

OK, cool, then I am OK as long as my normal antifreeze is in good shape...for my '94 Disco I.
